High-tech dairy farm in Western Romania on the Hungarian border

Introduction

In 2028, you have the opportunity to own the most modern dairy farm in Romania! With a capacity of 300 dairy cows and a total of 600 head of cattle, this farm offers excellent growth potential. A major advantage is its location in Western Romania, near the Hungarian border, making it easily accessible from the Netherlands. The area enjoys sufficient rainfall and is only 10 km from Arad, which offers daily flights to Düsseldorf.

The farm includes (see site plan):

Fully new high-tech dairy barn
A state-of-the-art dairy barn of approximately 3,300 m² was recently built and is fully equipped with 3 Lely milking robots, Lely 385 manure robots, ventilation systems, rubber flooring, and more. Currently, 165 dairy cows and 135 young stock are housed here, producing an average of 37 liters per cow per day. Following a recent feeding strategy adjustment, production reached 42 liters per cow per day in August.

Older barn to be modernized
An older barn of 1,200 m² currently houses young stock and dry cows. This barn will be fully renovated as part of a new approved project.

New project
The approved project can begin construction immediately, with completion expected in 2028. The old barn will be fully renovated, including the installation of 2 Lely milking robots, manure scrapers, and the Lely Vector feeding system, which will also serve the other barns.

New young stock barn
The project also includes a new 2,800 m² young stock barn, fully equipped.

Residential house
A spacious 200 m² residential house is located on the premises.

Land
The farm owns 60 hectares of high-quality land, with an additional 50 hectares leased under contract. Rainfall is sufficient for crop and pasture growth.

Machinery inventory
The farm comes with two new tractors, a new Manitou, and all essential field machinery. A detailed inventory list can be provided upon request.

Reason for sale
The current owner is seeking more personal freedom and has become somewhat disillusioned with dairy farming.

Asking price
This farm offers reduced dependence on external labor while meeting the highest animal welfare standards. The asking price for this exceptional property is €4.7 million.
