Agriprogress organized in cooperation with the Dutch Romanian Network and Van Genugten Agri a successful seminar about the chances for Dutch investors in the Romanian pigsector. The sector is at the moment only 30 % self sufficient, raw materials are widely available, with a pig meat culture, a Romanian government that stimulates, a shortage of manure for field crops and a long international culture the chances are big. Risks are also there: lack of capital, ASF, bureaucracy, etc. With experiences from praxis in Romania (two pig farmers and a turnkey project builder) a good discussion took place. The plan is to organise as follow up a studyvisit to Romania.
